Samira Project




Samira Project is an Islington based BAMER (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee) women’s Violence against Women and Girls project.

It provided crises intervention for BAMER women whom are survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence and Harmful Practices (Forced Marriage, ‘Honour’ Based Violence, FGM, etc.).

Samira Project aims to address the immediate safety needs of BAMER women at risk of harm to secure their and their children’s safety with a multi-agency approach and safety planning.

We offer:

  1. Risk Assessment and Safety Planning

  2. Advice and Advocacy

  3. Referrals and Signposting to other appropriate agenciesThe service offered is confidential unless there is a risk of significant harm to a child or an adult.
