Protect against STIs

Public Health England launched a new campaign aimed at 16-24 year olds to raise awareness of STIs and ultimately reduce rates of the two most prevalent infections in England, chlamydia and gonorrhoea, through increased condom use.

Rate of diagnoses of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) remain high among young people, and in 2016, the majority (51%) of the new STI diagnosis were in young adults aged 15-24.
