NHS Antibody Testing

Message from NCL CCG. NHS antibody testing is not generally available to the public as there is no strong evidence yet to suggest that those who have had the virus develop long-lasting immunity which would prevent them from getting the virus again. Clinicians should only request it as an addition to an already required phlebotomy request where it will aid management of care. E.g. where someone has either shortness of breath, severe fatigue, on-going chest pain etc. and they think they had Covid but were not tested at the time.
